Daria Food

Daria Food Case Study

Daria is the flagship brand of Nahrain Food Industries, a Cairo-based food company. It offers one of the most varied ranges in the local market and positions itself as "Egypt's most trusted rice." The range spans premium imported basmati rice, sauces and dressings, vinegars and floral waters, olive oil, canned goods, flour, honey, peanut butter, and microwave popcorn. R.B Marketing Agency designed Daria's social media visuals and product packaging to make this wide range look like one trusted brand.

  • Packaging Design

Industry:

Food & FMCG

The Challenge:

Daria’s strength is its breadth, and breadth is also a design risk. A brand that sells everything from 25 kg sacks of basmati rice to 260 g sauce bottles and popcorn gift boxes can easily look like several different companies on the shelf and on social media. Daria also competes in a crowded category where shoppers choose in seconds and rely on a familiar face they trust. The brief was to create one recognizable identity that works across very different product types and on both retail shelves and social feeds.

Our Approach:

One system, many products. We built a flexible visual system that keeps the Daria identity consistent across rice, sauces, canned goods, and snacks, while giving each category enough variation to be found quickly. Shoppers should know they are looking at Daria before they read the label.

Packaging that sells at the shelf. Packaging was designed around how people actually buy: a clear product name, an obvious origin and quality cue (such as “premium long-grain, Grade 1 basmati”), and a clean layout that keeps essential information easy to read in Arabic.

Social media that brings the products to life. We carried the same visual language into Daria’s social media designs, using appetizing food visuals and a consistent look so that every post reinforces the brand. Content covers the product range, from everyday cooking to sauces and snacks.

Built for scale. Because Daria keeps adding products, the system is designed so new items can be added without redesigning from scratch.

Outcome:

A consistent packaging and social system is projected to give Daria a noticeably stronger and more recognizable presence. On shelf, a unified look across the range should make products easier to spot and recall, helping shoppers choose Daria from a crowded category and reinforcing its position as a trusted household name. Because the system is built for a growing range, every new product launched in this period would strengthen the brand’s coherence rather than dilute it.

Key Deliverables:
